Delicate Flower grows to be a Supple Reed.

When I was young a friend referred to me as a delicate flower because I appreciated the simple beauties that life had to offer.  I grew up a sensitive child, and later would be called an over sensitive adult.  In time the delicate flower grew to be a strong yet supple reed. I learned not to let life wilt me, or snap me like a twig.  After many trials and tests, I learned to know when to bend, and give, and yield to the circumstances that life would present. I had a poet’s soul.  I spent my childhood in my head, in my room, or alone in the park, or in the woods.  I adored animals, the natural world and felt in tune with the rhythms of the wind, and weather.  I had few friends and seldom ventured far from my room when I needed companionship.  That I found in books. I read Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, and the Encyclopedia Britannica that my father bought when I was very young.  Through those volumes, I could explore the world, the hum...

DO NOT BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU THINK.

Just because you think, it is so, or just, does not make it so. You may be wrong. I know it is hard to believe right. What else could you be wrong about, who knows. Since you believe it, it must be so. That is called conformational bias. We all suffer from it. We all want to be right, but because the ego must always be right so must we. WHERE EVER I GO - THINGS GET AWKWARD THEN THEY GET REAL.

-
I think as myself as a Catalyst. Things change, upend, the deck gets shuffled, and people reconfigure themselves, but I, I remain the same. I don't have superpowers or am touched by an angel or anything. But, I know who I am. Maybe, just maybe, I am like a mirror and people can see how much work they have to do on themselves. Some do some don't, but invariably, change is gonna come. I entered the dark wood and took the path less taken. I battled my demons, wrestled with my angels. I have been buried and burned alive, yet here I am. They say when you find yourself in hell - keep going. Well, I have never stopped. My name is - Jeff Turnbull. And, I am just exhausted with Humankind. I am a Humanist, but there is just so much one soul can take. People are willfully ignorant, intellectually lazy, sheepishly resilient on others, and easily suggestible. Like zombies walking through the mist and in a stupor staring at the screen in their hand. Be it parents with ...
