METAMORPHIC MANIFESTO

Why bother? Why try? What is the point? We are born. We live and then we die. What is the meaning to all this trying and crying and dying? We don’t seem to make any progress? People are at each other’s throats and for what? A bigger piece of the pie, more toys, more, more, more?

What if, we were able to find peace with what is? Just this, not that, or that, but just this? No tribes, no borders, no political parties, no religions, no hierarchies. There would be no inequality. No birth rites everyone would start from the starting point.

What is – is that we are not born equal. Some are born on third base and they think they hit a triple. What does self-made mean? Does anyone really come from nothing and climb the heights that do not turn around and help others up? Yes. But that is the exception, not the rule.

Greed and hatred are commonplace in the world today. They have always been there – in plain sight and behind closed doors. Economies are constructed to reward those who make money from money and not those who toil and strive. The outcome being suffering for so many when in these times there is more than enough for everyone.

When a holiday like Christmas which is to celebrate the birth of the Christian God is nothing more than an excuse to buy more stuff with money, we really don’t have for things we don’t really need. Instead of taking care of the least of us we buy what we are told and behave how we are conditioned.

Imagine if we all could accept each other for who and what we are – human. Bipeds all of us. Warts and all. Imagine being able to touch and share and care to put all grievances to put. No feuds and no animosities no vendettas no tribalism just this – I am human you are human we are human. Just that simple. I have food you are hungry – here is some of my food
